Station House - Brakspear

The Station House is a beautifully decorated pub at the top of the market place in Henley.

Once the original police station for the town, you can dine in one of the original "cells".

The Station House – Haslemere, Surrey Photo 1 of start the slideshow Upham Pubs are on a roll – or should we, in this case, say ‘on a fast track’?

Latest in the successful pub group’s portfolio is The Station House, which opened its doors in autumn 2016 and is already a steaming success.

Food and drink, of course, take pride of place, with a centre-stage, double-sided bar, a lovely brasserie-style restaurant in the original Victorian part, a café and bar on the first floor and even an outdoor terrace for open air dining.

As for the 16 bedrooms, they’ll do very nicely as a lovely base for exploring the rolling Surrey hills and beyond, with stylish furnishings and splashes of bold colour.

Half are in the original Victorian building, the rest in the new coach house.

location

This gastropub is about as convenient to that best mode of travel after a night of dining and drinking – train – as you could wish for, being located in the beautiful Station Buildings of Acton Central train station itself along Churchfield Road.

Aptly named The Station House, it’s here in this stunning, sensitively refurbished space you can enjoy famous pizzas, tapas centred on Puglian cuisine, and all the British pub classics you could hope for – including a Sunday Roast that’s a local favourite.

Order up a pint, a glass of wine, and some of the best pub grub you’ll find in this part of London and take your victuals anywhere in the building, or go a little more formal and take your seats in the dining room.

Perfect for a casual meal or a big function, The Station House is one establishment that down-to-earth gourmets won’t want to miss.

There’ll be plenty of places to enjoy a drink too.
