Free house award winning country pub, The Queen's Head ...
The Queen’s Head is an award winning 15th Century Free House steeped in history from its origins as a former coaching inn at the heart of this Doomsday village to its present day role as one of Suffolk's few surviving proper country pubs.
We offer a superb selection of cask conditioned ales, traditional ciders, a fine wine list and an excellent and imaginative seasonal menu, including produce from our own livestock and attached butchers shop .
As a West Suffolk CAMRA Pub of the Year, The Queen is also featured in the Good Beer Guide, the Good Cider Guide and is a UKTV Local Food Hero.
Located in the heart of Suffolk’s rural countryside the Hawkedon Queen is close to the wool towns of Long Melford, Cavendish and Clare and is only a short drive from historic Bury St Edmunds and the National Trust’s idyllic Ickworth Park.
