He was very specific about the types of foods he was happy to eat, and was surprised, even a little frustrated, at how difficult it was to find readily available, fast vegan food.
There were vegan friendly restaurants here and there, if you knew where to go and were prepared to pay the price.
But as a traveller, he was looking for quick and unfussy vegan burgers on the go.
Reuven and Amir instantly loved the idea of opening a vegan burger bar in the heart of London for all to enjoy.

restaurant review #147 – VBurger is not really a restaurant, but a foodstall at Camden Market.
As the name says, VBurger sells burgers, with a selection of different sauces and with vegan cheeze.
We strolled through Camden market after our visit to the Jewish museum where we went to look at the Amy Winehouse Exhibition, which was really moving.
Our main motive was to find VBurger (and also to see the Amy Winehouse statue, which we spotted later on, see pic below) and luckily it was in the first market place that we passed.
At first sight, there’s not that much on offer (beet burger, seitan schnitzel and falafel), but you can pimp it with either vegan cheeze or avacodo topping, and some side dishes (fries, onion rings, cole slaw).

I used to be such a creature of habit and would always go for falafel burgers if they were on the menu, because I knew I would like them.
However since trying Seitan (also referred to as Vegan Chicken) at Temple of Seitan a couple of months ago, I went for the Seitan Schnitzel Burger.
The Seitan Schnitzel Burger patty was a deep fried and breaded Seitan burger served with chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, dill gherkins and red onion and costs £7.
As is the norm for me when I see cheese on a menu, I also got a slice of that in the burger for good measure, which was an extra £1.
I’m looking forward to going back soon to try the other burgers (and the sweet potato chips of course)!
