Battersea - bananatree

Banana Tree Battersea is located just off Northcote Road on Battersea Rise.

A five-minute walk from Clapham Junction station, our restaurant is a favourite amongst locals and the office lunch crowd, thanks to our delicious Thai, Malaysian and Vietnamese cuisine, our friendly and efficient staff and an extensive bar menu with Happy Hour promotions.

Banana Tree Battersea is also able to take group bookings for your special event with family and friends.

Our separate kid’s menu will keep your children happy and entertained, and you’ll be impressed with all our meat-free dishes in our vegetarian menu.

For starters we had the Fresh Indo Duck Wraps (£6.95), served with Batavia lettuce, Viet pickle, fresh herbs and Nuoc Cham dipping sauce.

Although you can eat the spring rolls straight, the dish came with instructions how to eat this Vietnamese dish.

I.e. you need to place the herbs and pickle in a lettuce leaf, then the spring roll and sauce before wrapping the concoction.

Vegetarians will fall in love with the Aubergine with Caramel Sauce (£5.95) at the first bite but the best of the bunch was the Mekong Crispy Prawns (£6.95) which came with a sweet chilli dip.

What I liked was that all dishes came with plenty of fresh salads abundantly dressed with various sauces.
