The Bolingbroke

From the welcoming bar through to the relaxed dining room, elegance reigns supreme and the emphasis is on high quality British food and traditional pub values.

The Bolingbroke | 020 7228 4040

The Bolingbroke Pub & Dining Room is named in honour of Henry St. John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke, the brilliant politician and reckless rake, who spent the early and final years of his life in Battersea.

Whilst Henry was renowned for his hard drinking, innumerable affairs and wild escapades, this Northcote Road public house is a rather more refined local.

We are proud to work with some of the best small producers the British Isles has to offer.

We have a good range of cask ales and lagers and are proud of our wine list which offers great wines at very reasonable prices.

They really go out of their way to accommodate families at this refined Battersea local with a children's menu with its 'messy spaghetti' and mini hotdogs, books and crayons and fairy cakes to decorate.

Adults will appreciate the elegant surroundings that include a stunning polished walnut bar and a light and airy dining area with its huge skylight, open fire place and banquette seating.

There's the usual burger, steak and fish and chips, but lots of sophisticated restaurant-style dishes such as Roast pheasant breast & confit leg with chanterelles, honey glazed butternut squash and sage & onion jus.

Adults will appreciate the elegant surroundings, cosy open fire and accomplished dishes like rabbit stuffed with cavalo nero."

Delicious food, great wine menu and the service was excellent.

The place itself is light, spacious and well presented, the service very friendly, helpful and efficient and the food especially the roast most certainly did not disappoint.

I went with three others to the Bolingbroke on a Tuesday evening on their August 50% off food offer!

Amazing roast - huge portion, food was great quality.

Great food and friendly welcoming service.

“Beer lovers will appreciate the well kept ales… The menu is more ambitious than it needs to be with such a captive crowd of thespians and locals.

A giant gin balloon takes pride of place on our bar which will serve hand-crafted spirits, elegant cocktails, award-winning ales and a bottle of wine to match any kind of day.

The menu showcases our dedication to all things meat from our home-cured, uniquely flavoured British charcuterie, to our wide range of steaks, all aged in-house, as well as our free-range chicken and pork, and sustainably sourced fish from beautiful south coast.

The first floor of The Latchmere continues to be home to Theatre503, an Olivier award-winning theatre for over 30 years, with whom we are proud to be associated.

A landmark building on the junction of Latchmere Road and Battersea Bridge Road, The Latchmere lies in the heart of Battersea, a short distance from the river and minutes from Battersea Park.
