Savannah Caribbean Take-Away - Delivering delicious takeaway in London

The curried goat was excellent and the rice and peas just tasted of coconut, it could have been cardboard as the coconut just over powered the rice and peas.

The pepper steak was tender and tasty but it was served with the same 'coconut' overpowering flavor in the rice and peas.

Six hours after food arrived, it started to turn sour even though I stored it in the fridge so, I was unable to have a second helping.

I had only eaten some of the curried goat and rice and the remainder of it and all the rest of food that I hadn't eaten had to be put in the bin.

I will not order food from this place again as it is apparently cooed too way in advance and reheated

The Savannah Bar & Restaur : Food Noise-Review

It’s Certainly not Plain at The Savannah Bar & Restaurant, Euston At work, I am known as 'the foodie'- if anyone wants a restaurant or bar recommendation then they come to me, and usually I can reel off a list of exciting new places to try.

Only a few steps from Euston station lies The Savannah Bar & Restaurant, within the Wesley Hotel.

I’m not normally keen on ‘hotel restaurants’, but with its own separate entrance, I didn’t actually realise that the restaurant was in a hotel at first!

The décor is also inspired by nature and sustainability, with some stunning features such as The Bird of Prey, made of recycled shopping trolleys and standing majestically in the restaurant.

In London’s fast growing restaurant scene, Savannah is a quirky new eatery that is well worth a try – and the ethical element, makes you feel good about eating there too!

The Savannah - London's Sustainable Restaurant

The Savannah is located within the Wesley Hotel (see later).

The décor tells a story inspired by nature and sustainability, with ‘time’ as the theme.

The Bird of Prey has been hand-crafted by ethical artist Ptolemy Erlington, well-known for transforming scrap metal in works of art, mainly animal forms.

The ‘bird’ is made of recycled shopping trolleys, is a dynamic art piece and stands majestic in the main restaurant.

The Savannah also cultivates emerging creativity and the work of upcoming animators, film makers and artists will be projected on the walls.

I truly love this restaurant, this was my second time here and the food and service seem to be consistently amazing.

The staff - the ethos of the restaurant was to have a multi-national staff- were a huge factor in how enjoyable our meal was.

Savannah is a lovely clean resteraunt attentive staff and the "Groupon" meal deal for £25 was good to a point There was little food on the plate.

Yes you could buy extras but too expensive and we weren't asked if we wanted any extras so we got what was advertised on the menu The food was excellent, however the same can not be said about the service unfortunately.

Again, can't fault the excellent quality of the food, albeit the mix up with the salad, but could do with friendlier and more efficient service.

food

An ethical and eco-friendly restaurant in The Wesley Hotel.

It claims to be London’s first sustainable hotel, and this ethos is carried through to its restaurant.

A starter of crispy tempura prawns rested on a banana leaf with a delicately spiced tomato sauce by its side, while the rack of lamb was well cooked and paired with crispy bacon and creamy polenta.

Portions are a bit on the measly side, which is only emphasised by vast white plates.

So while the ethically sourced food might not cost the earth (in more ways than one), you might still leave The Savannah feeling a bit short-changed.
