food

Everybody loves food – it plays a vital role in helping us function after all so it seems obvious that ‘Eat’ is our first concept.

Whether you want to meet your friends for a coffee, a simple breakfast, a boozy brunch, fancy lunch or you just simply cannot face standing in front of a hot oven of an evening, there’s something for everyone – food wise – at FountLondon.

Hara took over our ‘Eat’ aspect at the beginning of March; their aim is to provide customers with delicious, nourishing and sustainable food, good for the body and mind.

They took over our first arch and provided East London with it’s first gourmet Northern Italian restaurant; serving fresh pasta, charcuterie and cheese from the deli counter with slow cooked Lombardy food served throughout the day.

We are currently looking for food brands, restaurants, cafes etc. to get in contact regarding two new locations we have on offer.

Tucked away in London Fields railway arches, ‘FountLondon’ is a one-stop destination where you can eat, shop and play.

A restaurant, nursery and pop up space are housed in three separate railway arches.

She describes the nursery as being the heart of FountLondon and the careful attention paid to developing a space that encourages creativity can be felt in the nursery, whose entrance is through a little interactive garden, giving the children an opportunity to play gardener in an urban landscape.

Parents who want to grab a bite after dropping their children off at the nursery need not travel far, as one railway arch away is ‘Il Cudega,’ a gorgeous Italian restaurant and deli from the region of Lombardy, the first of its kind in London.

The greenhouse, used as an educational tool for the children in the nursery, allows them to grow their own herbs and fruits, is the proud centerpiece of the courtyard, as it also provides fresh produce for Il Cudega.

Elena and Rachel, are both mum’s who understand choosing childcare for your child can be an anxious time… which is why they have designed this unique environment, to feel like a home from home.

To create a space that she would have sent her children to, as a working mum she knows how it fells to find the right environment… Elena Mackey has designed a different sort of interior, something for the minds of the children in her care.

Elena has been inspired by experts such as - Maria Montessori, Susan Isaac, Fredrick Frobel and Reggio Emilia She has applied their thinking toThe Fount Method, designed to equip young children with a variety of tools to best navigate all future scenarios through independent thinking and self-reliance within a multi-cultural environment.

Elena and Rachel have brought these fun lessons to the nursery so busy parents don’t feel their children are missing out on these special experiences.

Elena and Rachel truly have created a unique Nursery, (it’s enough to make me want another child!)
