Romulo Cafe is a tribute to Carlos P. Romulo, who was a Filipino journalist, a soldier, a diplomat that served 8 Philippine Presidents, a co-founder of the Boy Scout of the Philippines and the first President of the UN General Assembly.

All these accomplishments and more made him one of the most iconic and important figures in at prime locations around the city, Romulo Cafe exudes the same homey ambiance with a touch of modernity across all branches–Tomas Morato, Jupiter and Alabang.

Check out Romulo Cafe’s Jupiter branch: The interiors are monochromatic in black and white, which balances well with the contemporary accents and fixtures.

Romulo Cafe is also one of the best places for your events, they provide private functions (both indoor and outdoor) in their Tomas Morato and Jupiter branches for intimate gatherings of 8 to a grand celebration for as many as 100.

Romulo Cafe London is nestled in a quiet corner of Kensington High Street in an elegant Georgian town house, which still clearly depicts a traditional Filipino home.

The restaurant celebrates the legacy of Rowena’s famous grandfather, General Carlos P. Romulo.

General Carlos P. Romulo was also the first and only Filipino to win a Pulitzer Prize and be awarded the highest American civilian award, the Medal of Freedom.

Romulo Café London’s ambience is a reflection of the old family home; appealing interiors are decorated with bamboo and wicker furniture, and the stylish palm print wallpaper is covered in original family photographs of their grandfather’s various encounters with US Presidents Nixon and Kennedy, along with a number of foreign ministers and popes.

For the main course, guests can take their pick from delights including Binagoongan Boneless Crispy Pata (deboned crispy pork leg) sourced from British farms, served with aubergines, tomato and shrimp sauce or the signature Flying Fish, standing proud on its crispy filleted flanks.

Run under the hospitable eye of Rowena, Romulo Café is a charming spot to take friends or colleagues for an authentic and delicious dining experience.

Filipino restaurants in London?

This good-looking Kensington restaurant is the first foray from a small group with branches over in the Philippines.

Pork sisig is usually made with pig’s face (including the snout) but here they use pork belly, chopped, seared and topped with fried egg, pickled apples and caramelised shallots.

As was their take on Filipino adobo, with chicken and pork belly marinated and cooked in vinegar, soy sauce and garlic.
