FOODIE 101** Project Awana pop-up at Highbury Library

Review analysis

Sustainable dining isn’t perhaps the sexiest turn of phrase, but the Project Awana pop-up at Highbury Library is just that.

I should just clarify- no, not that Highbury Library- as we discovered whilst absent mindedly tapping in a vague location to our phone and being led to the public bookspace by the voice of Google.

Highbury Library is in fact a contemporary new wine bar/cafe/place to drink, eat and be social and is actually located directly opposite the main entrance to the Emirates stadium (which may or may not be a deterrent depending where your loyalties lie) close to Drayton Park Station.

We washed our meal down with a few glasses of a decent Spanish Tempranillo, and flicked through some of the 90’s Hip Hop featured in their vinyl library (Aaaaah THAT sort of Library).

Highbury Library is open 6 days a week and the menu will be available most evenings.

Embracing each season with evolving menus.

Mondays is a supper club by Project Awana.

We'll host it at Net.Works., a creative workspace in Holloway.

The inspiration for our supper club is the rich food cultures of the world.

As our pop up is closed on Mondays, we've decided to host this supper club to make the most of local produce between menu changes.

Please note, Project Awana at Highbury Library is now closed.

A six-month residency at Highbury Library from Project Awana, a pop-up restaurant promising an ethical, seasonal menu.

Serving Tuesdays-Sundays until mid-April 2017, expect each dish on the menu to focus on organic, locally sourced ingredients.
