Visit Petrie Museum in London

★★★ ★★★ free ★★★ See all museum exhibitions in London The Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology can be found in the grounds of the University of London.

It was started by the Victorian Amelia Edwards in the mid 19th-century, and expanded by the excavations of famous archaeologist William Petrie.

The items come from both Egyptian and Sudanese history, and range from Roman burial finds in Hawara, to finds found at Amarna – the city of Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten.

Watch some magic at the Magic Circle • Mar/Nov 2018

This is the Magic Circle's flagship show, and takes place in the Magic Circle's own headquarters.

When you arrive you will have an opportunity to look around their museum and see the treasures in the Devant Room, before having a quick drink in the Magic Circle's bar.

After that you will be seated at a table and the show will start -- performed by some of the Magic Circle's finest magicians.

During the interval you will have another chance to explore their headquarters before sitting down in the Magic Circle's theatre for some more stage entertainment.

food

I had a very pleasant experience at this place.

We ate here solely because we were in the area and it looked nice from the outside.

I live in Italy and am familiar with Italian food and restaurants, and I can say it felt like being in Italy.

The setting is pleasant and fresh, the menu sounds inticing, the food was nicely presented and the portions were huge, so no need to order multiple courses initially unless you still have an apetite after each course.

I'm happy to recommend this place.

Spacing - TOG The Smiths Building

TOG pioneered the concept of the shared workspace in Britain.

When the company was founded its vision was this: to create beautifully designed buildings with a wide variety of spaces, and to offer tenants progressive membership schemes and short-term leases to allow for growth and change.

Today, TOG has 15,000 members working across 30 buildings, 28 of which are in London, with more on the way.

The founders, Charlie Green and Olly Olsen, worked for both property companies and serviced office providers before starting up The Office Group in 2003 with the backing of Bridges Ventures, a socially aware Private Equity Fund.

The concept was driven by a desire to create buildings that would stand apart from the competition.
