Creatively combining British breakfast bites with Indian ingredients, Chai Ki is original in its banquet of morning bites, so hit up this all-day eatery as you tuck into the likes of the “Full Nashta” of streaky bacon, and a bhurji, brioche bun, aloo tikki hash, masala beans, spiced sausages and heritage vine tomato for £11.50, all washed down with a “Breakfast Liquor”, which is essentially a Bloody Mary with Chai Ki home spices for a mere £6.50.

Influences from China and Nepal also embellish the main menu munch, while cocktails galore like you’ve never quaffed will have you and Chai Ki new, best buds.

If you can bag one of the elegantly shaded outside tables, it offers a top setting for a sunny day lunch.

And the food?

A certain amount of love seems to have gone into the wine list, which has a number of decent choices at relatively modest cost.

But for a more informal sort of lunch - for business or pleasure - you could do very much worse.
