Tapestry Restaurant Review: Fine Dining and Dessert Heaven at ...

Over time you build up a library of memories to never forget and one of those was actually created here at Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa.

The Tapestry restaurant is the main eatery in the hotel and it exudes history, along with a little opulence.

A little steep in pricing perhaps, but if staying at the hotel (like we was) the menu is included as part of your dinner, bed and breakfast rate.

We had such a lovely evening at the Tapestry restaurant and it was great to finally eat at the hotel restaurant which we never did before.

Yet another lovely memory created by Bailiffscourt Hotel for us and I can’t wait to make many more again here in the future.

In a nutshell: Creative seasonal small plates from the people behind the Every Cloud cocktail bar Summing it all up: Silver Lining is the new restaurant counterpart to luxury outlet Hackney Walk’s popular Every Cloud cocktail bar.

With its cozy environment and creative menu it looks like it could be just the job.

Exceptionally charming cocktail bar Every Cloud, with drinks by Felix Cohen, of famed cocktail bar The Manhattan Project in Hackney Walk, the new luxury clothing outlet tucked away between Homerton and Hackney Central, now has a new neighbour - a restaurant called (wait for it)... Silver Lining!

Silver Lining will have seasonal menus of small plates which'll be on rotation.

The menu’s got quite an international, creative feel, with plenty of noticeable influence from the diverse surroundings, visible in dishes like the Jerk Chicken Scotch Egg with Mango & Papaya Hot Sauce, or Charred Aubergine with a Creamy Walnut Za’atar, Pickled Turmeric & Chive.

Restaurant review: Whole Foods Market, Kensington - Telegraph

Just as the earthquake shattered belief, the economic tremors left many questioning the value of the food movement.

So, I step onto west London’s High Street Kensington by Whole Foods Market, the smart food emporium opened two years ago, expecting nothing but rubble and a few crazies rummaging for scraps murmuring “I remember when they sold wonderful mizuna leaves here.”

You won’t lure unemployed miners here, but there is a pleasing social mix: young lovers – a straight couple, a gay couple – a gaggle of thirtysomething women, an American with teenage daughter, a few married banker types of more advanced years.

First up, a beautifully presented plate of new-season Kentish peas: broad bean, pea and end of season asparagus with mint and almond pesto.

The waiter declares that all food is “locally sourced”, some achievement in west London.

A small-plates restaurant from the people behind Every Cloud in Hackney.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

The people behind Hackney cocktail bar Every Cloud have made that old adage come true by opening this small-plates restaurant right next door, and calling it (wait for it)… Silver Lining.

It’s a fun bit of wordplay, and they look good together, sitting side by side on trendy Morning Lane.

Sometimes that’s a good thing: ‘cheesy chips’ came thick-cut and slathered in indulgent béchamel and roasted garlic – less drunken uni snack, more posh après-ski.
