The Barley Mow Pub Ltd

Welcome to the Barley Mow, W1 The Barley Mow is a traditional family run and owned pub situated just off Baker Street It's one of the oldest pubs in London, and one of the last remaining 'Free Houses' in the centre of the city.

Famous for our two private 'booths' located directly at the bar, the pub is listed inside and out, and would probably be recognisable today to any passing Edwardian.

Whether you work in the area, are a local resident or just passing through, we're like the local 'country' pub in the heart of one of the world's busiest cities.

The Barley Mow review: A good craft ale option in W1 | London ...

The huge sign adorning this Dorset Street boozer declares itself as the “oldest pub in Marylebone”, and it has a right to be proud of its 18th century origins.

Back in the day, The Barley Mow was a favourite spot amongst farmers travelling into the city to sell goods, before Marylebone became the stylish cosmopolitan area we know today.

These days though, punters can expect around six cask options and more on tap, as well as an unfussy wooden-panelled setting to enjoy them in.

There’s a good range of sandwiches and pies available from the kitchen too, making it a good option for lunch in the area.
