Getti Marylebone Traditional Italian Restaurant Review

One of Allan’s favourite foods is Italian so we took him to Getti Marylebone, a traditional and authentic Italian restaurant which also boasts a lovely outdoor terrace area.

We started off our lunch with a basket of bread, oils and olives, topped off with a fair amount of drinks to keep us hydrated and some glasses of rose too.

I then ordered a Margherita pizza and some chips, Michelle had the same and Allan went for the Chicken Salad, to which I was slightly envious of, the chicken pieces looked so tasty.

Michelle had the panna cota and Allan went for the traditional Italian ice-cream complete with wafer.

Getti has a lovely friendly atmosphere with great service and authentic Italian food so do check it out if you are in the area.

Case Study: Why did Getti decide to use Tenzo?Getti is an italian restaurant chain situated right in the heart of London with two central London locations on Jermyn Street and Marylebone High Street.

Peter C. — Tripadvisor When, we met Getti owners for the first time, we discussed about their daily challenges which allow us to identify three main issues.

It is inconvenient to follow exactly what happened on their various social and review channels and get an understanding of your customers are saying about the restaurants.Have concrete feedback to give to their employees and incentivise them to sell more.Have an accurate forecast to ensure that they have the right level of fresh stock in order to maintain their ability to always serve the whole menu.More generally, they told us that it was challenging to quickly gather all the useful information and insights in one place to help them in their decision-making.

From now on, they have the ability to refer to feedback to see and drive employee performance, they can quickly assess the damage caused by bad reviews on TripAdvisor or Google Places or even reduce wastage by having a more accurate forecast.

“I think that an app like Tenzo could be useful for any other restaurants” Andrea Fraquelli — Co owner of Getti Watch the video testimonial:

Though Grosvenor sells a range of classic business shirts (£110), the company stands out among the shop windows of Jermyn Street for its distinct designer shirts (£139): large lined and crisscrossed colorful panels are often countered by opposing colors in the same pattern or opposing patterns in the same color.

Though several Jermyn Street outfitters stock some of these items, Sunspel’s dedicated focus on the clothing closest to the skin has earned it, I think, a claim on the attention of anyone strolling down the street, if only to stop in and feel the smooth, lightweight cotton: either Egyptian or Sea Island, woven and gassed, or passed over a flame, to help it retain a matte finish rather than become shiny over time.

The range and quality of the shoes could hardly be more impressive, and, for the quality, Cheaney’s prices are among the lowest on Jermyn Street, which is quickly becoming as known for its shoes as its shirts.

You can find at the Jermyn Street shop everything from James II three-tone wingtip brogues  (£292) and Berkeley whole cut oxfords in blue calf leather(£354) to burgundy penny loafers (£292) and burnished olive balmoral boots (£354).

Opened in February 2015 as part of the St. James’s Gateway redevelopment project, La Martina is one of the newest and largest stores on Jermyn Street, with two dark wood-paneled floors devoted to everything polo, including of course, the elegant casual dress of the polo spectators.

Rather sadly my regular lunch companion had to cancel our date at Getti at the last minute…so I ended up going alone.

But, there’s an express menu with two courses at £13.50 and three at £15.50 if you are dining pre-theatre or looking for a quick lunch.

I did find the linguine a little overwhelming and would have preferred a smaller portion of pasta, with the same amount of sauce and tomatoes.

It was quite a large ‘small’ dessert, but I was spying on other diners and it wasn’t just for the benefit of a review meal, other tables were also getting good, healthy appetite portions!

It would be a good business lunch venue, midweek it was quiet but not dead, or work well for a pre-theatre meal if you wanted something a little more formal than Assaggetti.

This venerable old St James's restaurant has been a port of call for steak enthusiasts for nearly 40 years.

Its speciality is entrecôte steak, served with green salad, a house herb, Roquefort and butter sauce and unlimited fries - just give the staff a nod in the direction of your empty bowl and they'll deliver a new one, quick-sharp in our experience.

Other mains include venison haunch steaks, Barnsley chops, wild mushroom and spinach risotto and a house burger, with maple-cured bacon and truffle mayo.

The wine list focuses on the old world, with France particularly well represented.
