Greedy Cow - Award winning Burgers & Steaks

The Greedy Cow was created by two brothers with discerning taste, a love of good quality food, and above all, a strong belief in value for money.

The dream became a reality with the birth of The Greedy Cow in the heart of the East End.

Born to a pair of hands-on owners, we are able to maintain high quality service and offer a menu tailored to the customer’s tastes; that’s why our regulars keep coming back time and time again.

Whilst assembling the old classics with their usual adornments, our menu continues to tickle the gastronomic taste buds of our customers through the inclusion of exotic meats.

The arrival of Wagyu, kangaroo, bison and crocodile to E3 made Greedy Cow a very well known restaurant that combines both great food and good value for money!

If you’re a person who loves collecting experiences, an adventure awaits at Mile End’s premier (and most unusual) burger joint, Greedy Cow.

Best of all, Greedy Cow sources all of its beef from Herefordshire, England, ensuring only the best quality burgers, which are quick becoming famous in London.

The wild boar burger, for example, might sound like tough patty to crack, but Greedy Cow takes special care to provide only the best, most tender cuts no matter the animal.

There are many vegetarian options available as well, including a vegan burger for those stricter fans of te classic stack.

No matter what you decide to order, London’s Greedy Cow is sure to deliver an eating experience with a difference.

W’s pan-fried duck egg with Kentish asparagus, black pudding and brown shrimp (£6.50) was a bit prissy – the fried egg had been sliced round the yolk into a perfect circle.

W had rib eye of beef (£19), served very simply with a string of roasted tomatoes, a green salad and some skinny fries.

I had crème brûlée after all that (£6.50), which had been lavished with care, a brandy snap basket on top of it, filled with Madagascan vanilla ice cream, which you might think would be vanilla overkill given the brûlée, but only because I didn’t tell you that the custard was shot with raspberry and lemongrass.

That worked really well; people are constantly messing about with this classic, but finally a combination arrived that was worthwhile: a sharp sweetness from the raspberries, floral citrus from the lemongrass.

W had some Ashmore cheese (£7), a dignified, gnarly old hard cheese from sort-of nearby Canterbury.

The menu offers burgers every which way – from kangaroo to wagyu beef – and great variety in its cuts of steak.

Maybe they were trying to relax the wagyu some more?

If so, it did the trick – it tasted as a highend burger should.

A plump fillet steak with a piquant peppercorn sauce was near- perfect, although rarer than requested.

Where Greedy Cow really excels, though, is in its service.
