Maximini Chinese Restaurant - London, | OpenTable

Review analysis
location   staff   food

It is probably somewhere you would not necessarliry find by chance in that area although very near to Main Street.

The waiters were constantly hovering .... I felt the food was just ok & did not live up to the expectations of the actual premises.

It was like " an ok only take away" !!

I would go back & try again ... as it was a recommended Chinese restaurant the only one with a decent advert in the Paddington area & near to our Hotel.

Needs atmosphere I think to attract customers and to create an atmosphere as suggested on the website & food must also live up to that.

food

A modern European restaurant from the folks behind Manuka Kitchen.

Salt and Honey is the second restaurant from Kiwi chef Tyler Martin of Manuka Kitchen.

You’re close enough to your neighbours to ogle their food, far enough that restaurant chatter prevents serious ear-wigging.

The downstairs kitchen is small and the restaurant was packed, with waiters having to clatter up and down stairs -- it felt like a very new team.

Fish of the day was an excellent pan-fried sea bream served on truffle mash (£16.50).

The Bugis Street Brasserie is an informal restaurant serving classic dishes from Singapore, Malaysia and Canton.

This popular restaurant is moderately priced but the food is still really tasty.

Maximini Chinese Restaurant, London | Chinese Restaurants - Yell

"Like shoe designing, whipping up a great dish is an art", says Jimmy Choo who has ventured into the world of food with Maximini, an oriental restaurant near Hyde Park where the celebrity shoe smith is bringing a slice of his Malaysian home to Britain.

As beautifully dressed as any of Jimmy's A-list clients, Maximini is simplistic and chic with a hint of old fashioned colonial style which perfectly suits it's fabulous Bayswater address.

The irresistible Malaysian dishes are fused with more familiar Chinese flavours by master chef Albert Koh, to produce an innovative and exciting menu which, like a timeless pair of heels, looks set to become this season's must-have.
