Maureen’s, Chrisp Street Market – pie and mash and hot salt beef sandwich is what you must have.
Recently, Maureen’s responded to their vegetarian clients by introducing a vegetarian pie.
This is my local Pie & Mash shop.
Do not undermine this place because I am not making any outrageous claims about Maureen’s being the best pie in the East End.
pie and mash GBP 3.00 – The home made steak pie looks small, but the pastry is thin and crispy and the filling is real chunks of good quality beefsteak; very tasty indeed, the gravy glistening but not a put off, the mash is good and fresh.

Barb and Garnet Hart from Weyburn decided that an excellent way to celebrate Canada’s 150th was to travel in Canada.

Poplar Harca housing association has joined forces with housebuilder Telford Homes to revamp the market with 650 flats, shops and a cinema.
It could provide a focal point for Poplar, which is well placed to cash in on the launch of Crossrail at Canary Wharf this year.
