Try The Ritz next time where you'll get the 5 star service for 10 times the price and a 1/5 of the portion sizes.

From: Martin Position: London Booked here for a birthday party having eaten once before & enjoyed the food.

Our table was at the back of the room & we could only talk to the people sat directly next to us, not opposite.

It was clear from looking around the room that others were having the same problem.Oh & the service was pretty shoddy too - the waitresses were too busy dancing to notice little things like a table full of customers trying to grab your attention.

A previous reviewer mentioned booking a table downstairs for a "quiet meal", I'd suggest phone first to see when the death-by-synth starts.Avoid Avoid Avoid.Name: fraserLocation: london

More than 40 years of continental influence has transformed British cuisine, particularly in London, where residents have their pick of top-class European eateries.

A few weeks before the referendum took place, we created our own menu of London's European restaurants and sampled some of the food and opinions on offer.

Brexit or Bremain: "I think if Britain leaves the EU it will be really brilliant," says restaurant owner Elias Solomou.

Brexit or Bremain: "I think Greece would be better off outside the European Union and I think Britain would be too," says assistant manager Dimitri Loubros.

Brexit or Bremain: "The Dutch in London are really part of the city's history and this pub was a meeting place for the Dutch resistance during World War II," says manager Ben Jones, who won't be drawn on the European Union debate.

The common in question is more steel than oak, a curling mass of sidings and railway sheds which, one day, will metamorphose into the centre of the blooming universe to become the main London interchange between High Speed Two from The North and Crossrail.

People call Harlesden "the new Acton", as it rubs shoulders with loftier suburbs, such as Queen's Park and Kensal Rise.

The case against Public transport is great, but the place itself is on a weird urban peninsula, cut off by those sidings, Park Royal factories, and the North Circular.

Willesden Junction and Harlesden on the lovely Bakerloo Line, nipping you to central London in 20 minutes.

I hereby declare Harlesden to begin south of the cemetery and Roundwood Park, and west of the sports centre.
