Pho House - Hoxton, London, Shoreditch. Book now!

Opening up shop in Shoreditch, Pho House is proud to introduce their second outlet on Kingsland Road just steps from Hoxton railway station.

This fantastic Vietnamese restaurant is famous for their pho, which utilises an herb-infused broth that simmers for at least 24 hours.

The restaurant’s walls are covered in graffiti-style murals that depict life in both Vietnam and London, and the exposed brick gives the restaurant a decidedly urban feeling.

When dining at Pho House on Kingsland Road, your best bet is to go for a bowl of pho – try the Pho House special with beef balls, chicken, beef brisket, egg and rare beef – or you could also opt for one of the delicious mains like chicken grilled with lotus leaf, asparagus scallops or sizzling squid served with leek, celery, and dill on a hot iron plate.

Book a table in advance to experience this popular restaurant for yourself.

Review analysis
food

Tay Do has stood on Kingsland Road in Shoreditch since the summer of 2000, and can lay a claim to being among the first Vietnamese restaurants in East London.

When you arrive at Tay Do on Kingsland Road in Shoreditch, you’re going to head straight for the starters.

We’d recommend the house platter, which includes spring rolls, prawn toast, fried spare ribs and crispy seaweed, or the green papaya salad with shredded dry beef or seafood.

Follow that up with a proper bowl of pho – Vietnamese national dish, a soup with beef and rice noodles – or a seafood special, such as the special king prawns with chilli and lemongrass or the braised Mekong cat fish baked in a clay pot with caramel sauce.

Whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed by the food on offer at Tay Do – just remember to book a table before you arrive, as this is one of the most popular Vietnamese restaurants in East London and they will fill up.

Pho House | Restaurants in Barnsbury, London

This new Vietnamese restaurant takes over the site previously host to Busan - the popular Islington Korean that went, came back, and then went again.

The room has been given a bit of a makeover, with Busan's minimalism replaced by a more industrial feel - think exposed ducts, bare brickwork and swooping filaments.

Bar the beef jerky in the green papaya salad, there are few surprises on the menu.

Expect, then, summer rolls, Vietnamese chicken curry, shaking beef and bun cha - the popular traditional dish of grilled pork served over rice vermicelli noodles.

Hue, Saigon and Hanoi beers complement soft options such as Fentimans 'Seville Orange Jigger', some homemade lemonade and suitably sweet Vietnamese coffee.
