Led by The Clink Charity, this restaurant located inside HMP Brixton, a men’s prison, is offering a dining experience that promises to demonstrate change.

Following this, we were guided through a further check by prison staff, before being led through the prison grounds to The Clink restaurant.

The neat decor, smartly dressed prisoners and well presented tables contribute to setting high expectations of The Clink restaurant.

The restaurant successfully achieves a unique, fine dining experience, in a category C prison.

Most importantly, visitors to the restaurant are supporting the ongoing training, that’s required to continue the rehabilitation of prisoners, associated with The Clink Charity programme.

London 100% Gluten Free Leggero Review ⋆ Forever Free From

La Polenteria was also 100% Gluten Free and many of the dishes were centered around polenta – the Italian cornbread.

The Leggero menu takes inspiration from the English meaning of Leggero – ‘Light’ – by offering greater diversity including several lighter dishes.

If you have eaten at La Polenteria before fear not, there are new desserts, but the gluten free Tiramisu remains.

Leggero very clearly indicates what allergens are present in each dish on their online and in-house menus, making it so easy to see which dishes are suitable.

Featuring prominently within many of the main dishes currently on the menu is the Leggero homemade sorghum pasta.

Brixton Reviews: Lunch on the inside – The Clink | Brixton Blog

The bane of modern dining is having your meal interrupted by a fellow diner loudly taking a call or a social media obsessive tweeting every plate but there’s no chance of that happening at The Clink – a visit begins with a security check at which you place all your all electronic devices (and other banned items) in a locker.

Starters kick off at £6.25, main courses around £15 and desserts £6.50.

The aim of The Clink project is to provide prisoners with training and mentor them into work.

The Clink succeeds as a restaurant in its own right and is well worth a visit.

Clink Restaurant at HM Prison Brixton is open for breakfast (8.15 – 10.30am), lunch (12 – 3pm) and afternoon tea (2 – 4pm) Mon-Fri.
