Did you know that Britain has more types of cheese than France?

Not as much as we like cheese, but almost.

Our cheese counter has been voted in the Top 10 in the UK and we sell our cheese by weight as well as putting it into our toasted sandwiches.

Britain is also producing some great cured meats that can rival the best the continent can offer.

The fourth location for the Sourced Market independent food and drink market has opened on Goswell Road, in collaboration with the Citadines hotel, two minutes walk north from Barbican Station and almost opposite the Barbican’s newest block, Blake Tower, and John Trundle Court.

The first Sourced Market opened at St Pancras Station in 2009 and Ben took his inspiration from the food, drink and eating options available at Borough Market where he had been living close by.

It was important, as he saw it, to combine the quality, sourcing and atmosphere of a market like Borough Market and combine it in a retail deli/café type outlet where people could buy food to take away, or eat and drink on site.

Given that food outlets in railway stations back in 2009 were pretty dire the St Pancras opening went extremely well and O’Brien comments that 25% of the custom has been provided by people coming into the station specifically to access what Sourced Market has to offer.

Visit us to browse our retail offer or stop for coffee or all-day drinks and dining” states the company’s website – www.sourcedmarket.com The new ‘Barbican’ market will offer fantastic coffee, artisan bread, bean to bar chocolate, craft beer, wine and a selection of great food that will take you from breakfast to lunch to light plates in the evening.

Sourced Market | Create Victoria

Following their opening of the first produce market in St Pancras International train station in 2009, Sourced has opened its third location at Nova.

Working with the best of Britain’s small, artisan producers, the team bring their blend of market produce and all-day dining to Victoria, offering everything from artisan coffee to craft beer and charcuterie to croissants.

The food quarter at Nova Victoria is coming on apace with more restaurants announced as well as the first opening its doors.

Sourced Market, which currently has stores in St Pancras and Marylebone, will be the first place to open at Nova, today.

They'll serve up fresh coffee in-store and to take away and you'll find a growler station inside with a regularly changing roster of craft brews (drink-in or take home), bean-to- bar chocolate library, wine on tap and meals served up from breakfast to evening charcuterie boards.

The opening of Sourced comes along with news of two more food spots at Nova with both Vagabond coffee and Crosstown Doughnuts scheduled to open there too.

Sourced Market Victoria is now open at Nova Building, 85 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0AJ.

A capacious Marylebone spot for eating, drinking and filling up the larder.

The original Sourced Market might be the best thing about St Pancras International: a trove of impeccably procured food and drink, mostly from small British producers, that’s helped thousands of commuters kick their soggy station sarnie habit.

You could pop in here for a quick sandwich and emerge half an hour later loaded with cheese, ham, antipasti, herb oil, jam, pickles, dried pasta, dark chocolate and gin.

There’s a deli counter, a juice bar, a coffee shop with guest beans on monthly rotation, a bakery, hot food and a whole fridge full of wraps, sandwiches and salads including a plethora of veggie and vegan options.

And you couldn’t say that about the St Pancras branch.
