Point in case Locanda 311, an Italian restaurant in North West London serving traditional south region cuisine.
My brother had found what we thought was a great deal on Groupon for a seafood platter with Lobster for 2 with liquor for £36.00.
The platter had a whole lobster cut in half, mussels, (I think) clams, calamari and a few shrimps served in a traditional herby garlic butter type sauce.
The brown lettuce bed was a little off putting (especially since the calamari costs £10) and personally, the restaurant could do with a few touch ups here and there.
It’s a little bit far from my house and there are some amazing Italian restaurants closer to me that I have enjoyed more.

Deliveroo is a new food delivery service that allows you to enter your location and order dishes from a list of your local restaurants.
The Deliveroo people kindly offered us a complimentary trial run of the service, as it’s recently expanded its delivery zone to include West Hampstead.
After a bit of deliberation we decided to order from Locanda 311 (formerly known as Hidden Treasure) on West End Lane, as it’s a restaurant that doesn’t offer its own delivery service.
As Deliveroo uses a fleet of its own drivers, even restaurants not usually geared up for home delivery can take part, which is a great service if you fancy eating something a little different from the usual takeaway options.
This is where Deliveroo starts to feel a little pricey – £2 is a fairly low delivery charge, but many restaurants offer free delivery for a minimum spend.

Situated in West Hampstead is Locanda 311, a fantastic eatery that offers a true taste of Italy.
There is the homemade lobster and brandy bisque, perfect for those who want to try something different.
