The child was probably bored as it took us an hour to get our first course.
So slow and despite all the serving staff the empty tables were left with dirty plates.
The lavender and honey cheesecake was tasteless and judging by the table next to us who'd left theirs too, we weren't the only ones to think that.
We kept laughing at the silent couple who sat foodless for over an hour on a table near us.
Even my British reserve was broken and I had to complain about the cheesecake and the waiter angrily deducted it from the touch screen till with very aggressive taps.

The Cedar Restaurant now occupies most of the ground floor of the south wing, the earliest part of the house, built in Tudor times by Richard Knightley in the early 16th century.
The old restaurant provides a fittingly intimate space for sampling exceptional dishes: the beamed ceiling and stone fireplaces lend a classic feel and, on a clear day and night, your food is accompanied by views across the gardens and parkland.
